A roundup and a look forward

Hello friends and comrades!

Given we made it to the beginning of 2026, I’ve collected a few capsule reviews from films I watched last year that I either didn’t have the time or the energy to write a full piece on.

Something I’m setting myself as a target this year is to generate a more sustained and sustainable writing habit for patrons, substack supporters and blog readers -- frankly, I don’t know if the blog as such can make a comeback or return but I am willing to give it a try. In order to make things a little more consistent, I’m planning on drawing together a few things into recognizable themes and topics. As always, everything will go up for patrons first, and most, but not everything I write, will go eventually up onto public feeds. But if you’d like to know more about what to expect this year, it may well fit into some of the patterns below.
